Nutre Arayavanish, the Business Design Centre New Designer of the Year, is a jeweller whose designs are made by connecting flat 2D components to create 3D forms. Ulrikke Elisabeth Vogt is the winner of the New Designers Argos Award. This UK-based jewellery designer caught the judges attention with her newest collection that displays “a strong sense of femininty”. Her collection is a clever combination of vintage and modernism.

I cannot go without mentioning Balenciaga’s gladiator style patent shoes (from S/S ‘08) that turned heads with their glossy details and black and white knee-high intricacies. These shoes/boots added a contrast to the hyper-colour florals and abbreviated bubbles in the show and gave us bold, must-have footwear from the season’s collections.
For those that find they just can’t say no… now you can just wear it, loud and clear.

Viktor & Rolf started their Paris catwalk show with a slightly surreal grey coat, featuring an eye-poppingly enormous ‘NO’ slogan; along with ‘Wow’ and ‘Dream on’, the word was also painted onto models’ faces and emblazoned on belt buckles and T-shirts. The Dutch pair gave a fun, quirky show, filled with sheer blouses and flirty party frocks…

Emilio Pucci has just launched an eyewear collection, which debuted on their Spring ‘08 runway, and has just arrived in stores. The sunglasses, available for $250 to $450, come in a variety of oversized frames in signature Pucci colors and classic prints (fitting right in with the season’s sixties revival trend).
