Snaidero: Coral Gables by Borruso

Author: Ozana Gherman | Kitchen | Sunday, 02 March 2008

The high end Italian renowned kitchen cabinetry manufacturers Snaidero joined heads for a second time with the young talent Giorgio Borruso to create a whirlwind of innovation at the Florida exhibition. The inspiration was from the unique vision of Borruso; “Ficus Magnolioides.” In the architect’s own words, “there is a central trunk from where 18 (white and orange) pipes are leaving the ground to reach a higher altitude, then start to move through the space in what appears to be a chaotic system in which they intersect and overlap. Then, at certain precise points, they turn perpendicular and dramatically go down at full speed to make contact with the floor.”

Faucet Buddy

Author: Tim Ho | Bathroom, Kitchen | Sunday, 24 February 2008

faucet_buddy.jpg

This is a little device designed by Baek Uyeol. It is to be pluged onto your bathroom or kitchen faucet, it detects the water temperature, as well as monitoring usage of water. However, seems like it wouldn’t work for Price Pfister Lavatory Faucet, haha!

Price Pfister Single Control Lavatory Faucet

Author: Tim Ho | Bathroom, Kitchen | Saturday, 23 February 2008

I found this interesting design from Plumber Surplus. It is manufactured and designed by Price Pfister, a leading company in the plumbing industry. If you are tired of traditional lavatory faucet, this would be a good choice for it’s elegant and modern outlook. Water comes out from the faucet forms “waterfall”, it would look nice in the bathrooms or kitchens!
